Welcome to TPVS
The Prosper Valley School is located in Prosper, Vermont and is part of the Mountain Views Supervisory Union. There are seven towns that make up the district, with our students coming primarily from the towns of Bridgewater, Pomfret, Reading, and Woodstock. Fifth and sixth grade students from Barnard Academy and Killington Elementary School who wish to attend TPVS can apply for intra-district school choice.
All school district board members and meeting schedules can be found on the MVSU website.
Meet Interim Principal Devyn Workman
I’m excited to introduce myself as the interim principal at The Prosper Valley School. I’m deeply committed to this community and eager to bring passion and energy to a school that holds a special place in my heart.
When I moved to Vermont over seven years ago, Prosper Valley quickly became a special place for me while I worked as a substitute teacher across three districts. I immediately felt connected to the community and knew I wanted to be part of TPVS. In November 2017, I accepted a long-term substitute position in first grade and have been dedicated to helping the school grow ever since.
In August 2021, I joined a fantastic team of teachers and Aaron Cinquemani to re-open Prosper Valley as an intermediate school for fifth and sixth graders. I've been involved in the development and decision-making from the start and am excited to continue building our strong community of teaching and learning.
I’m passionate about upholding TPVS principles and further developing our programs, including our support systems like MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports).
I hold a bachelor's degree in Theatre and Medieval European Studies, along with a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Childhood and Special Education, both from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. I've taught at The Prosper Valley School, Woodstock Elementary, and Barnard Academy, as well as third grade in New York's Finger Lakes region before moving to Vermont.
